  • Confident Beginner

    You have finished a quilting project or two and want a little more variety. Confident beginner kits introduce more fabric choices, smaller quilt blocks, and patterns that ask you to match a few points. Think granny squares, simple stars, and jelly roll friendly designs that still come together quickly and feel rewarding at every step.

  • Intermediate

    Intermediate kits are for the seasoned quilter who wants a new challenge. Expect more individual piece cutting, curved or angled seams, foundation paper piecing, and layouts that reward careful pressing. These quilt patterns take more time, but the fabric is already chosen and coordinated, so your energy goes into the sewing rather than the planning.

I source fabric independently, choose the latest fabrics from designers I admire, and give priority to women owned brands and designers whenever I can.

Do I need to buy anything else to finish my quilt?

Your kit includes everything for the quilt top plus binding and a pattern. You will also need batting, backing fabric, thread, and basic tools like a rotary cutter. Backing yardage is listed in the pattern.

What is a pre-cut quilt kit?

A pre-cut kit includes fabric that has already been cut into the shapes the pattern calls for, such as strips or squares. It saves time and helps new quilters avoid cutting mistakes.

Can I use my own fabric instead of buying a kit?

You can. Many of our designs are also sold as paper patterns with fabric requirements listed, so you can shop your stash or pick up a fat quarter bundle in your favorite theme.

How do I know which skill level to choose?

Each product page lists the skill level and a short note about the techniques involved. If you are between levels, we recommend choosing the easier one. We find a quilt you enjoyed making is always better!
